Track 01
"Richard waited ten years for Fiona" - everyone
Fiona and Richard met in college at Columbia University's Model United Nations conference, where Fiona doesn't remember meeting Richard, because she was either too tipsy or he was too forgettable.
They remained acquaintances throughout college, occasionally grabbing coffee in Boston or New York, but nothing more (to Fiona).
Somehow, in the years post-college, they found themselves in the same friend group that went to Ultra Music Festival in Miami. They had the best weekend of their lives and became close friends thereafter.
Fiona then moved to Boston for business school, where Richard tagged along to every single HBS party. Her friends would ask, "who is this random guy?"
Richard was very persistent and sometimes charming — after many rejections, miraculously, they became official midway through her MBA.
The rest is history: Richard survived residency and fellowship with Fiona by his side, Fiona took him to Taiwan where she force fed him 10 meals a day. They continued going to many music festivals, bought a home together, and legend says that now they even have a dog named Oppenheimer.
Come celebrate this wonderful journey with us!

The AFTER after partyTrack 03
Everything you need to get here and settle in.
Hotel Santa Marta, Lloret de Mar, our home base for the weekend and the site of the Friday welcome dinner.
Room block details & booking link coming soon.
Fly into Barcelona–El Prat (BCN), about 1 hour 15 min away. Girona (GRO) is a smaller, closer option.
From the airport: rental car, Uber, or train + taxi to Blanes.
Our hotel and wedding venues are close, but not walkable. We'll have shuttles!
Mid-May on the Costa Brava is warm days, cooler coastal evenings, roughly 15–24°C (60–75°F).
Bring a layer for the night, and shoes you can dance in.
Track 04
Make a trip of it. The Costa Brava is worth it.
The town right next door and the gateway to the Costa Brava. Wander the Passeig Marítim, dip into hidden coves, or visit the Jardí Botànic Marimurtra, the same cliffside gardens where we're saying our vows.
Step out the hotel door and you're already here. The Santa Clotilde Gardens offer sweeping sea views and are free to wander; the old town and seafront promenade are perfect for an evening stroll or a long lunch.
One of the most photographed spots on the Costa Brava: a medieval walled fortress rising straight out of the sea, with a golden beach below. Take the scenic coastal road for the full effect.
A compact medieval city packing serious punch: the Game of Thrones filming location, a towering Gothic cathedral, Arab baths, and the famous Roca brothers' restaurant empire. The Jewish Quarter alone is worth the trip.
The obvious day trip, and a great reason to arrive a few days early. Gaudí's city is finally, fully complete. A few highlights worth building your visit around:
Two regions, two very different wines. The Costa Brava wine region is right on our doorstep, with rugged reds and crisp whites from volcanic soils. The Cava heartland further south is home to the great sparkling wine houses, with cellar tours and long lunches among the vines.
Track 05
Our wedding may be the main act, but we wouldn't be here without all of you, our friends, family, and supporters since day one. We want to celebrate in the way we know best, in festival style. Think Tomorrowland meets Coachella, Bali meets Balearic. It's only one weekend, but we hope that you'll come away with memories that last a lifetime.
Black tie optional for Saturday, but Ibiza chic for all other events. The ceremony is on garden paths and the party runs late, so choose shoes you can move and dance in.
Though we love your children, we would gently encourage you to bring your kids on the next trip instead. Children are welcome if you need to bring them, but please know that both the ceremony at Jardí Botànic Marimurtra and the reception at El Convent de Blanes are cliffside venues with limited seating, and attentive supervision is essential throughout. If necessary, we'll look into arranging a nanny service for the ceremony itself. If that would help your family, let us know in the RSVP form, and we'll keep you updated on details.
The sooner the better. Mid-May is high season on the Costa Brava. We'll share the Hotel Santa Marta room block and booking details here as soon as they're finalized.
We're planning shuttles between Hotel Santa Marta and the venues. Details will be posted on The Logistics section once confirmed.
You traveling across the world to celebrate with us is the only gift we could ask for. If you'd still like to mark the occasion, a card we can keep or a donation to a cause of your choice would be great.
Please reach out to Richard or Fiona if your +1 is someone we don't know! Seats are limited at the venues, but we can see what we can do.
RSVP
We can't wait to celebrate with you. Tell us you're coming and which parts of #FiRiFest you'll join. Kindly respond by December 31, 2026.
